Alexander Hilterbrand, age 70, of Big Brushy Road, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Born May 18, 1947, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Rene Whisman Helterbrand. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Mendez Hilterbrand, who passed away February 9, 1985. He is survived by two daughters, Ramona (Bob) Friday of Virginia, Minnesota, and Tamera Steer of Crookston, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Holly, Jacob, Alexandra, and Madeline; one sister, Patty (Sid) Caudill of Morehead; and other extended family members. Mr. Hilterbrand served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years and was a former construction worker. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Adams-Plank Cemetery with Brother Don Rivers officiating. Full military honors will be presented by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126. Arrangements are under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
