Alan Wayne Scott, Sr., age 68, of Walton Street, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at his residence.

Born April 8, 1951, in Eskdale, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Claude Scott and Lizzie Alice Ingle Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Mae McClurg.

Alan is survived by one son, Alan "A. J." Scott, Jr., of Flemingsburg; one daughter, Lisa Ann Scott of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Brandon Lee Patrick and Ashley Gaeta; and one great grandson, Charles Alan Patrick.

Other survivors include one brother, James L. (Marsha) Scott of Morehead; three sisters, Patricia Ann Amburgey of Dade City, Florida, Lydia F. Montgomery of Morehead, and Betty J. (Tony) Riddle of Owingsville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and extended family members.

Alan was a former manager at the Trail Theater and the University Cinema and a former stockroom manager at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.  He retired from Chakeres Cinema in Frankfort in 2011.

At Alan's request, no services will be held.
