Virginia Francis Saunders King, age 90, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg.
Born June 30, 1929, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Boyd Muse Saunders and Gladys Manning Saunders Downs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray King, on June 19, 2000, and one sister, Mona Smith.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Vickie King Miller and husband Sammy; her son, Don King and wife Carolyn, all of Fleming County; four grandchildren, Robbie Miller, Tara Watson, Mark Allen Deeb and Christie Deeb; four great grandchildren, Derrick Watson, Dylan Watson, Ryan Miller, and Jonathon Farris; and extended family and friends.
Virginia was a homemaker and former pianist for Hutton Funeral Home and Boone- Nickell Funeral Home. She was a former employee of U. S. Shoe Factory, The Overall Factory and Lurman’s Department Store.
She loved playing the piano and was a member of Poplar Plains Christian Church.
Funerals services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Brother George Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Brian Watson, Derrick Watson, Dylan Watson, Ryan Miller, Jonathon Farris, and Robbie Miller.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
