Patti Sue Blackburn Stamper

Patti Sue Blackburn Stamper, age 49, of Pond Lick Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the U.K. Hospital in Lexington.

Born February 7, 1970, in Morehead, Patti is the daughter of Hazel Stanley Blackburn Logan of Morehead and Alvin Blackburn, who passed away April 15, 2008.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Danny Lee Stamper, whom she wed February 14, 1991; two children, Danielle LeighAnn Stamper and Brandon Lee Stamper of Morehead; two brothers, Bart Blackburn of Olive Hill and Ronnie Logan of Morehead; and two sisters, Kim Blackburn of Morehead and Iva Pennington and husband Jason, all of Morehead.

Other survivors include nieces and nephews Nikki Blackburn, Joseph Gribbins, Matthew Gribbins, Jayse Pennington, Jaylee Pennington, Matt Sexton, Brian Stamper, and Kyle Stamper; several great nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.

Besides her father, Patti was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Luther and Cresie Gooslin Stanley, and paternal grandparents, Earnest and Gertie Varney Blackburn.

She retired from Walmart after 25 years of service. Patti's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and her cat Jasper.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bobby Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Hogge Cemetery on Cranston Road. Pallbearers: Jason Pennington, Ronnie Logan, Brian Stamper, Kyle Stamper, Chris Hall, Joe Hall, Joseph Gribbins, Matthew Gribbins. Honorary Pallbearers: Brandon Stamper, Randy Fraley, Bennie Stamper, Matt Sexton.

Visitation is 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
