Lucille Pompili Hardin

Lucille Pompili Hardin, age 90, of Morehead Road, Wallingford, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at her home.

Born September 22, 1928, in Hubbard, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Pompili and Raphael Sarpine Pompili. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dora and Philomena Pompili and Antoinette Foley; five brothers, John, Eugene, Paul, Edward, and Joe Pompili; two grandsons, Bryan Crowe and Tony Hardin; one great granddaughter, Hope Wilson; and a granddaughter whom he raised as a daughter, Traci Hardin Jolley Swartz.

Lucille's beloved husband of 66 years, Cecil Monroe Hardin, whom she married July 17, 1948, passed away June 4, 2015.

Lucille is survived by three children, Ronald Hardin of Wallingford, Paula Crowe of Lexington, and Lexie Dunford of Wallingford; one brother, Vincent Pompili of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Victoria, Cecil, Ron, Bradley, Lanna, Tracey, Lauralee, Richard, and Carlee; 20 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Lucille was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. An avid reader, Lucille loved all her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2109, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Mt. Carmel Avenue, Flemingsburg, KY 41041. The Rev. Eric Boelscher will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at New Alfrey Cemetery in Morehead.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
