John Fisher, Sr. Obituary

John W. Fisher, Sr., age 80, of Dark Hollow Road, Clearfield, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born November 10, 1938, in Troy, Ohio, he was a son of the late Willard and Opal Deeter Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Poehler Fisher on June 17, 2008.

He is survived by six sons, John Fisher, Jr. of Washington Court House, Ohio, Kevin W. Fisher (Angie) of Peebles, Ohio, Timothy A. Fisher (Alana) of Sardinia, Ohio, Matthew J. Fisher (Erin) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Justin A. Fisher (Courtney) of Mt. Orab, Ohio, and Daniel T. Fisher of Hillsboro, Ohio; two daughters, Tami S. Fisher (Mark Wisecup) of West Union, Ohio, and Alicia A. Martin (Chris Salmons) of Louisa, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Other survivors include one brother, Bill Fisher of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Marilyn Jenschke of Texas; and other extended family and friends.

John was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from International Harvester.

At his request, no services will be held.
