Jerry Burmeister Obituary

Jerry G. Burmeister, age 78, of Kennedy Court, Morehead, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

Born September 14, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Clarence and Ida Mae Hayworth Burmeister. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Burmeister, and one sister, Yvonne Dickson.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Woods Burmeister; one son, Leslie Burmeister; three daughters, Lisa Ledbetter of Marshall, Texas, Janice Goulmassian and Judy Nunez, both of California; two grandchildren Andrea (Linville) Calton of Morehead and Jeremy Ledbetter of Marshall, Texas; nine great grandchildren, Aaron, Arial, Avery, Bella, Eli, Skyla, Lili, Chuckie, and Damien; extended family and friends.

Jerry was an R.N. and C.R.N.A and retired from ARH in Hazard. He was a former employee of St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead and ARH in West Liberty. He enjoyed woodworking and crafting and was especially talented in repurposing all types of items. Jerry eagerly read the Bible and was a member of Morehead Seventh-day Adventist Church.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
