Granville J. Fraley, age 79, of Christy Creek Road, Morehead, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 18, 1940, in Rowan County, to the late Granville Willis and Nancy Lillian Fraley. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Clester Eugene Fraley, Carl Vernon Fraley, Edmund Fraley, Paul Fraley, Roy Fraley, and one sister, Dessie Parish.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Mabry Fraley, whom he wed on December 23, 1962. He is also survived by one daughter, Linda (James) Bradley of Morehead; twin grandsons, James Adam (Alicia) Bradley of Louisville and Joshua Glen Bradley of Odenton, Maryland; and two great granddaughters, Harper and Alora Bradley.
Other survivors include one brother, Howard Fraley, of Morehead, and several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and many friends, including his Soldier Church of God family.
Granville worked for forty-two years before retiring. He worked for Stone Container Box Factory in Mansfield, Ohio; operated Fraley’s Auto Sales for many years; worked as a route salesman for Rainbow Bread; owned and worked as a route salesman for Snyder Potato Chips; and worked at Sealmaster Bearings.
He loved spending time with his family, going to church, and watching Westerns. He will be loved forever and missed so much.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 2, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gayle Price and Brother Clifford “Tippy” Price officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 1, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
