Gracie Lenora "Nora" (Boggs) Kidd

Gracie Lenora “Nora” Boggs Kidd, age 59, of Weaver Ridge Road, Morehead, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.

Born March 29, 1960, in Lawton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Coolidge Boggs and Gracie Delores Middleton Boggs.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marcie Rae Boggs Fitzgerald, and one brother, Keith Lee Boggs.

Nora is survived by her devoted husband of 12 years, Berry Kidd, Jr.; one son, Lee Michael Scaggs (Tina) of Lawton; one daughter, Jennifer Lynn Scaggs Hulett (Dustin) of Catlettsburg; and six grandchildren: Michael Blake, Eric Braden, and Anthony Keith Scaggs, and Zoe Brooke, Avery Stephenson, and Mia Grace Hulett.

Also surviving are four brothers, David Michael Boggs of Lexington, Calvin Roy Douglas Boggs (Roselee) of Olive Hill, Steven Acie Boggs of Morehead, Kevin Dee Boggs (Pamela) of Olive Hill; two sisters, Susan Annette Boggs Lemaster and Mary Rebecca Boggs Brown (Mark), all of Olive Hill; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Other survivors to cherish her memory are three sisters-in-law, Eulah Gray (James), Avanell Gibson, and Kathy Kidd, all of Morehead. 

In June 2018, Nora retired as Food Service Supervisor at St. Claire Medical Center where she had been employed for 29 years.    She enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren.  Nora was of the Church of God faith. 

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Monday, November 11, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ashley Kidd and Brother Gary Madden officiating.  Burial will follow at the Kidd Family Cemetery in Blairs Mill.

Pallbearers:  Michael Howard, James Gray, Johnny Boggs, Lee Scaggs, Michael Scaggs, Cody Boggs, and Sean Wells.  Honorary pallbearers:  Eric Scaggs and Anthony Scaggs.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
