Edward Eugene Lambert, age 81, of Dark Hollow Road, Clearfield, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born May 26, 1938, in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Lester A. Lambert and Verna Dillon Lambert. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Omega Fannin Lambert, who passed away April 11, 2007; one brother, Donnie Mitchell Lambert; two sisters, Sandra Pollock and Elaine Armitage; one granddaughter, Merissa May; and one son-in-law, Ronald Dale Campbell.
Eugene is survived by two sons: Wayne Lambert and Kimberly and Donnie Lambert and Terri, all of Clearfield; eight daughters: Ruby Campbell, Stephanie Thompson, Crystal Roe and Michael, all of Clearfield; Vanessa Gilliam, Melissa Warren and Doug Duncan, and Jessica May and Dewayne, all of Morehead, Gail Lumpkin of Westland, Michigan, and Karen Brown and J. W. of Belleville Michigan; one sister, Diana Jenkins of Morehead; 33 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Edward worked for Point Express out of the Morehead office on Christy Creek for 18 years. After retiring from Point Express, he became a self-employed master electrician and plumber with Lambert Service until he retired in 2010. He loved to fish, was an avid UK basketball fan, and greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jason Wright, Anthony Thompson, Ethan Lambert, Roy Henderson, Mike Roe, Derek “Scooter” Fannin, Dewayne May, Zachary Thompson, and Dakota Roe.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
