David Campbell, age 72, of Tunnel Cut Loop, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at his residence.
Born January 14, 1947, in Hazard, he was a son of the late Sam and Bessie Bush Campbell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, Sam, Jr., Dan, Ralph, Charlie, Taylor, Henry, Ance, and Wayne Scott Campbell, and one sister, Shirley Campbell.
David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandra Smith Campbell, whom he married April 6, 1986; one son, James (Ashton) Campbell of Morehead; one daughter, Rhonda (Johnny) Sizemore of Wooten; five grandchildren, Tyler, Jared, Steven, Kayleigh, and Makenzie; and three step grandchildren, Kiley, Michael, and Laiken.
Other survivors include two brothers, Frank Campbell of Hazard and Danny Campbell of Ohio; two sisters, Mary Jane Miller of London and Stella Hunt of Hazard; several nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends.
David loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and ginsenging. He will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Sizemore, James Campbell, Darrell Helton, Jeremy Smith, Jeff Noble, and Randy Bradley.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
