Willis King, age 63, of Sayre Drive, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
He was born September 18, 1960, in Whitesburg, and was the son of the late Amanda King.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Phillips King, whom he married June 19, 1993; one son, Thom McAlister of Qingdao, China; one daughter, Lori McAlister (Cecil Lawson) of Owingsville; two granddaughters, Calypso McAlister and Elena McAlister; and his fur baby, Junie.
Willis was currently Deputy Juvenile Facility Manager for the Department of Juvenile Justice in Ashland and was a former employee at Morehead State University in the Intramural Department.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tim Rhodes officiating. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers: Phil Copher, Chase Toy, Garrison Toy, John William Vice, Warren Meadows, and Cecil Lawson.
Honorary pallbearers will be all the youth whose lives Willis influenced through his many years in the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
