Willie Burnard Wagoner

Willie Burnard Wagoner, age 80, of Center Street, Morehead, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center in Ashland.

He was born Mach 10, 1944, in Sandy Hook, a son of the late Willie Edgar Wagoner and Mollie Belle Winkleman Wagoner.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Wanda Florence Fultz, Chloe Lewis, Anna Maude Whitt, and Nancy Jean Horning; a half-sister, Madge Ramey; a brother, Jimmie Vernon Wagoner; and his beloved Yorkie, Megan Leann. 

He is survived by his wife of nearly 46 years, Novenda Adkins Wagoner, whom he married March 24, 1978; a host of nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends. 

Willie retired as set-up operator at Sealmaster after working 27 years.  He previously worked at the ambulance service in Morehead and Sandy Hook, and St. Claire Medical Center as an orderly. Willie was also an ordained minister and loved visiting various churches. He enjoyed woodworking, making quilt stands and wood crafts for Novenda to decorate, and going to yard sales.  He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Ricky Lewis and Brother Kenny Ray Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is 12:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY  40351.
