Joshua Loren Ross, age 41, of Maxey Flat, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024.
He was born July 22, 1982, in Rowan County, to Claude Russell Ross and Marcella Hyatt Ross. Josh was a 2001 graduate of Fleming County High School and spent the majority of his career as a lineman. Josh enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson on the weekends and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He had the most amazing smile and the biggest heart.
Josh is survived by his mother, Marcella Ross of Morehead; one daughter, Abigail Ross of Fleming County; two sons, Jackson Ross of Fleming County and Colton Ross of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Michele Reisenbigler (Jimmy Cox) of Maxey Flat, Sherry Mayse (Danny) of Morehead, and Juanita Holbrook (Anthony) of Clearfield; eight nephews, Zach Mayse (Aqua), Trey Davidson, Devin Davidson, Kellan Davidson, Gage Holbrook, Brad Adams, Hunter Reisenbigler, and Blake Ross; two nieces, Chelsea Mayse and Brooke Ross, all of Morehead; as well as cousins, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Claude Russell Ross; his fiancée, Angie Jones; and two brothers, Mitchell Shawn Ross and Tony Russell Ross.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Scott Cummins officiating. Burial will follow in Goddard Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trey Davidson, Devin Davidson, Kellan Davidson, Gage Holbrook, Zach Mayse, Jimmy Cox, Hunter Reisenbigler, and Brad Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Colton Ross, Jackson Ross, Abigail Ross and Jacolby Jones.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made payable to Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals to assist with funeral expenses.
