Betty Faye Utterback Perry, age 89, of Judy Lane, Morehead, went home to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Raymond on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born March 15, 1934, in Paragon, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Warren Utterback and Lida Alfrey Utterback. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Raymond Perry, on May 5, 2022, and one brother, Calvin Utterback.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Judy Lewis and husband Herbie; two sons, Dennis Perry and wife Paula and Steve Perry and wife Angie, all of Morehead; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother, Norman Utterback and wife Mary Kay of Clearfield; special caregivers, Valerie Utterback and Sherri Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
She was a homemaker and a former employee of Roses Department Store and Allen’s IGA Deli. Betty was a devoted Christian and attended Lower Rock Lick Enterprise Baptist Church. She also served as an election officer for several years.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian. Always busy, you could often find her working around the house and farm. She enjoyed attending church and church activities, gardening, canning, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Herbert D. Lewis and Pastor Willie Skaggs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Alfrey Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Perry Lewis, Grant Perry, Kayne Perry, Roger Utterback, Jack Hughes, Channing Cantrell, and Caleb Spencer.
Visitation will from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
