Born November 6, 1966, in Morehead, KY, he is the son of Kay Utterback Fannin of Morehead and the late Joseph Talmadge (J.T.) Fannin.
In addition to his mother, Andy is survived by his wife, Ramona Furnish Fannin, whom he married February 19, 1993; two sons, David Fannin and his wife Makenzie of Sharpsburg, KY, and Samuel “Sam” Fannin of Hillsboro; one sister, Victoria “Tori” Earlywine and husband Adam of Morehead; two sisters-in-law, Janie Poston and husband Mark and Karen Eldridge and husband Tom, as well as his constant canine companions, Bo and Garnet. He also leaves many extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.
Andy graduated from Rowan County High School in 1984. He was a highly skilled self-employed custom knife maker whose works are found across the world. He was always creative in design and meticulous in detail. Most of all, however, he loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and children. He will forever be remembered and loved.
