Obituary for Nina Cloteen Goodan Porter

Nina Cloteen Goodan Porter, age 76, of Hayesville, North Carolina, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was born April 25, 1941, in Carter County and was a daughter of the late Richard and Opal Reynolds Goodan.

Ms. Porter is survived by two sons, Ryan (Jane) Williams of Morehead and Rondall Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Rana Williams of North Carolina and Karen (Robbyn) Katoot of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Other survivors include five brothers, Herbert Goodan, Glenn Goodan, and Billy Ray Goodan, all of Morehead, Don Goodan of Mt. Sterling, and Dale Goodan of Lexington; one sister, Loretta Stevens of Yorktown, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker and former employee of Cowden Manufacturing in Olive Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Andy Lands officiating. Burial will follow in Jacobs Cemetery in Carter County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
