Obituary for Larry Curtis "Curt" Flannery

Larry Curtis “Curt” Flannery, age 70, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington.

Born September 13, 1947, in Grayson, he was the son of the late Johnnie Wilburn and Nola Mae Bowling Flannery.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Delores Adams Flannery; two sons, Greg Flannery (Jane) of Mt. Sterling and Anthony Flannery (Polly Lee) of Sandy Hook; two grandchildren, Jon Curtis Flannery (Beth) and Laura Leigh Flannery; and one great grandchild, Meredith Flannery.

Larry retired from Texas Eastern Gas Pipeline. He was an avid U.K. fan and spent some of his happiest moments on the golf course, cutting his grass, or fishing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who treasured his family and derived the greatest joy making special memories with each one. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Minister Alton Norman and Bobby Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott County Memory Gardens in Sandy Hook.

Pallbearers: Marvin Horsley, Gary Kegley, Raymond Flannery, Lonnie Vice, Mark Crain, David Duncan.

Honorary Pallbearers: Donnie Flannery, Brian Story, Bill Black, Greg Flannery, Anthony Flannery, and Jon Curtis Flannery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
