Obituary for James Randall Beamon

James Randall Beamon, age 64, of Bluestone Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at his residence after a long illness.

Born October 17, 1953, in Bracken County, he was a son of the late James Alfred Beamon and Avelean Elizabeth Blevins Beamon.

Besides his parents, James was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Orville, and Roger Beamon, and two sisters, Joyce Jacqueline Beamon and Barbara Ann Higginbothan.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathy I. Miller Beamon, whom he married November 11, 1978; one son, James Allen Beamon and wife Angel of Morehead; and three grandchildren, Katelyn Marie Beamon, Kaylee Addison Beamon, and Koda James Beamon.

Also surviving are three brothers, Bernie Beamon and wife Kim, Dennis Beamon and wife Belinda, and Doug Beamon and wife Phyllis, all of Morehead; two sisters, Betty Lou Perry, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Linda Luckett of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

James retired from J. C. Wells Lumber Company after 37 years of service and was a member of Lower Lick Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, and spoiling his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Clark Cemetery in Carter County.

Pallbearers: Travis Beamon, Jerry Beamon, Ronnie Beamon, Michael Miller, Ricky Miller, and Jimmy Miller.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
