Obituary for Ellis Bradford

Ellis Bradford, age 83, of Airport Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born March 8, 1934, in Prestonsburg, a son of the late George and Mary Sloan Bradford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Shepherd Bradford; 10 siblings; and a grandson, Timothy Scott Riggs.

Ellis is survived by two daughters, Penny Kenley of Morehead and Arline (John) Barman of Lexington; three sons, Thomas (Faye) Bradford of Mentone, Indiana, Scott Nethercutt of Huntington, Indiana, and Adam Bradford of Morehead; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Other survivors include two brothers, Minefee Bradford and Paul Thurman Bradford, both of Silver Lake, Indiana, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ellis was a retired Floyd County coal miner and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at the Bradford Cemetery at David in Floyd County with Thomas Bradford officiating. Pallbearers: Johnny Riggs, Michael Klingler, Kevin Gower, Jonathan Riggs, Richmond Bradford

Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Northcutt &Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
